Who we are

BigTabletGames designs and develops touch table games, arcade games and interactive installations. This website presents that work. We are based in Portugal and you can reach us through the contact page of this website.

This site is a showcase, not an online shop

You cannot buy anything here. There is no basket, no checkout and no payment of any kind, so we never ask for or receive card or bank details. Any price shown next to a game or a machine is catalogue information, not an offer to sell through this website.

We are considering a club for registered members in the future. Until it exists, this website has no visitor accounts and no login.

What we collect

• Contact form. The name, email address, telephone number (optional) and message you type. It is stored on our server, is readable only by us in the administration area of the site and is never published. We keep it as long as needed to answer you and follow up, and you can ask us to delete it.
• Language preference. The language you choose (EN, PT, ES, FR) is kept in a temporary session cookie so the pages stay in that language while you browse.
• Technical data. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, which include your IP address, the pages requested, the date and time, and your browser identification.

What we do not collect

• Payment card or bank details of any kind.
• Advertising or profiling data. We do not build a profile of you and we run no advertising trackers.
• Third-party analytics. We use no external analytics service. Our own visit statistics are anonymous: from your IP address we only derive the country, and the address itself is not stored with them. We record the time of the visit, how many buttons or links you click and which links, to estimate how long visits last and which pages interest visitors most. No additional cookie is used for this.
• We never sell, rent or exchange your personal data.

How we use your information

• To read and answer the message you send us.
• To keep the website working, diagnose faults and protect it from abuse.
• To show the website in the language you chose.

Legal basis

Under the General Data Protection Regulation we rely on your consent when you choose to send us the contact form, and on our legitimate interest in keeping this website secure and working for the technical data described above.

Cookies

This site sets one essential cookie (PHPSESSID). It remembers your language choice and helps protect the contact form from automated spam for the duration of your visit, and is discarded when you close the browser. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.

Who else can see your data

We do not share your data with anyone beyond the parties below.

• Our hosting provider, which runs the servers and their logs.
• Our email provider, which delivers our replies to messages sent through the contact form.

How long we keep it

• Contact messages are kept while we deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
• Server logs are kept for a short period, for security and troubleshooting.
• The session cookie is discarded when you close your browser.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Send us a message through the contact page and we will answer within the period the law allows.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.

Children

Our games are played by children, but this website is addressed to adults and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data through the contact form, write to us and we will delete it.

If we open a members club

If we create the club, we will collect the data needed to run an account, such as a name, an email address and a password. Joining will always be voluntary, and we will update this policy and explain the details before registration opens.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website develops. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
